Abstract
The measurement of aerobic capacity through the anaerobic threshold (AT) requires the use of sophisticated equipment, in addition to the high cost per individual, which makes it limited. Alternatively, a non-invasive tests for more employees in sports is the test of 12 minutes proposed by Cooper. The aim of this study was to correlate the intensity of LAn obtained by the speed of race associated with fixed concentration of 4 mmol (V4mM) with the performance on the test of the Cooper 12 min (T12) and develop an equation to predict from that same test for adults evaluated. It is found that the intensity of exercises taught in V4mM and the T12 showed a significant correlation (r = 0.87). Thus, from a regression analysis between the values of Cooper and V4mM were unable to determine a correction equation which, through the Cooper test, obtaining the intensity corresponding to AnT V4mM determined by the adults in the sample.Downloads
