Abstract

The process of children’s production in modern times, revealed by a series of strategies and tools used to dominate childhood and take hold of its resources, is provided. The process of the formation of the  subject, knowledge and rationalities managed by education institutions and the role of the eugenic and psychological discourse in the knowledge and the management of childhood are highlighted. It may be taken for certain that, within a critical perspective, what we know on childhood, or rather, its way of living, acting and behaving, has been fabricated in the throes of knowledge and consolidated by power. Such a process should be acknowledged and investigated within the context of its constitution and potentialization.
