TIME IN PRODUCTION IN EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS AT/FROM SCHOOL

Abstract
In order to review the implications of time conceptions at/from school, a state of the art was done about time in production in Education. The productions that were surveyed and analyzed included dissertations and theses produced by the Post-Graduation Programs in Education in Brazil, which are part of CAPES Test Base; articles that were published in Education journals available at SciELO and works presented at ANPEd Meetings,considering productions in the last 5 years (2003-2007) available from these agencies. From the study of the productions under research four great themes were organized: time conceptions, school time, teacher’s time and full time. Reflections based on the survey confirm the premise that time is the result of a long learning process that affects social constitution as a whole. School is also affected by time conceptions. In Education, productions about time indicate that the linear time conception still predominates school, where time is demarcated by the clock and calendars regulate its organization. However, they point to the experiencing of a real time, problematizing the linearity that is implicit in the space-time organization at/from school.Downloads
