The production in the history of school subjects by the writings of Brazilian researchers

Abstract

This paper aims to map the Brazilian production about the school subjects history, seeting to provide both a broad view of what has been acomplished in this field to identify the emphases and the blanks of these investigations. This study also aims at examining the theoretical references used in the articles, as a means of understanding how the two most quoted authors have been interpreted by Brazilian researchers. For this purpose we analyzed twenty-three articles from on-line education magazines. The results of this present work indicate a larger production in the history of physical education in school and an incipient production in other school subjects. It also features the need of a greater effort demanded from the researchers to adapt to the way of working that characterizes the ideas of Chervel and Goodson.
