Abstract

The present article examines some methodological questions and the sources used when the matter is school culture research, especially about History as a school discipline. We focus on two types of documental source: 1) Written records of district schools of São Paulo (in the decades of 1960 and 1970) and 2) Apprenticeship reports of Practice of History Teaching from students of Feusp (1972- 9). We also discuss the school practices related to the History teaching in the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship.
