This article presents a study on the contemporary writer Valêncio Xavier. The focus is on the aesthetic analysis of O mez da grippe e outros livros (1998). The aim is to contribute with the literary criticism about the author, which is st ill slightly known, and also to present the procedure used by the author to characterize the singular and the universal in his texts.Downloads
