Abstract

Besides the explicit content conveyed by clauses in a text, there are implicit propositions which arise from the relations held by text portions called “relational propositions”. This paper, using the rhetorical structure theory, investigates how these relations are held in two dialogues of the NURC project

possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1994), mestrado em LingÃ¼ística e Língua Portuguesa Araraquara pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1998) e doutorado em LingÃ¼ística e Língua Portuguesa Araraquara pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2004). Atualmente é docente da Universidade Estadual de Maringá.
