Abstract

The present paper is concerned about the study of Saint Augustine conversion, which enabled us to identify the pagan behavior transformations, from Christianism advent (second and forth centuries). Thus, the research was based both on St. Augustine’s classic: Confessions (his autobiography); and a bibliographic support. As a conclusion, his conversion was specially due to Saint Ambrose (bishop of Milan). He was conquered by St. Ambrose’s personality, mainly while accompanying his preachings, because he was overcome by St. Ambrose’s delightful words. Because of this, besides being the greatest Christian thinking articulator during the ancient times, and the medieval culture creator, St. Augustine’s conversion represented the conversion of an era, the pagan, to another one, the Christian
