Abstract

The article deals with the reading of Lyotard on the thought of Kant, with emphasis on the idea that without aesthetics the system of the three Critics lose their critical dimension. The incompatibility of aesthetics with theoretical-practical reason does not denote its weakness or subjection towards the concept, but rather a sign of its extent by going further than it can possibly achieve. Aesthetics reveals itself as a criticism of critique, without which there is no possible reason.
