Educational policies and physical education: equity in school Physical Education
Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand physical education within the public and social policies included in the new LDBEN and in National Curricular Parameters, specially for senior high school teaching. It emphasizes the participation of BIRD as an ideological mentor for national education propositions with special regard to physical education. It also verifies if the social problems caused by the enforcement of LDBEN and supplementary laws that promoted the exclusion of part of the students from school physical education practice are resolved by the new propositions. What the preliminary survey data indicate is that the mechanism for excluding students from physical education practice has become subtler and social equity in school has been promoted.Downloads
