The Physical Education teacher and the physical education in schools: how to motivate the students?
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to discuss the role of School Physical Education teachers as motivators of the teaching/learning process. It is assumed that Physical Education will only be a motivating discipline if the teacher dominates its motivating processes. This article focuses on the principal characteristics of the teacher as motivator, on his/her role of leading the students to practice sports with the support of Physical Education, and on his/her role of stimulating the students to participate in sports as a life experience even after schooltime.Downloads
