Evaluation of a process of continuous training in dance: research action in focus
Abstract
Continuing education is a subject of great relevance in the educational field. Through this, the teacher has the possibility to develop his professionalism, seeking to solve daily problems, using information acquired or those, the result of the reflection with his peers about the pedagogical practice. Thus, the objective of the research was to evaluate the possibilities of an action research in the continuous training in school dance with teachers of Physical Education of the municipality of Bagé, RS. Twenty-six teachers from the municipal network participated in the study. The methodological proposal followed the different stages of action research, including identification of needs (stage 1), action planning (stage 2), implementation of action (stage 3), description and monitoring of action (stage 4) and the evaluation of the results of the action (stage 5). The results of the action pointed to the appropriation of knowledge by teachers; greater motivation for teaching practice in school; effective peer-to-peer exchange; the possibility of working dance at school. The study revealed the importance of continuing education, allowing the construction of new learning, showing changes in teachers' attitudes, knowledge and pedagogical practices.
