Abstract
The aim of the present study was to analyze the benefits of resistance and aerobic training during and after-treatment in patients with cancer. To this review, periodicals from PubMed, MEDILINE, SciELO and LILACS database were used. From the scientific evidence presented in the selected studies, it can be detached that exercise improves functional capacity, body composition, activity of natural killer cells (NK), humor state and life quality in individuals with cancer. It is possible to conclude that the combination of resistance and aerobic training elicit benefits for patients with cancer during and after treatment, being well tolerated.
