Suplementação de creatina e seus efeitos sobre o desempenho em exercícios contínuos e intermitentes de alta intensidade
Abstract
A presente revisão teve como objetivo verificar os efeitos da suplementação de Cr sobre o desempenho em exercícios contínuos e intermitente de curta duração e alta intensidade, relatando resultados de estudos publicados nos últimos 19 anos. Na maioria dos estudos, os resultados demonstram a eficácia da suplementação de Cr como recurso ergogênico para melhorar o desempenho em exercícios contínuos de curta duração e alta intensidade e exercícios intermitentes de alta intensidade. Alguns resultados controversos podem ser atribuídos a questões como o ganho de massa corporal, elevando a carga a ser deslocada no caso de modalidades envolvendo corrida, número insuficiente de participantes, reduzindo o poder estatístico da amostra e a presença de não respondentes.
