Global changes and tendencies of the health field in Brazil
Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to describe, analyze and project the health issue in Brazil based on the changes that have been occurring since the 70th decade of the 20th century. The text is based on both the widely diffused health concept presented by the Health World Organization in the so-called Otawa’s letter and the Brazilian Constitution of 1988 in the Social Security chapter. Therefore, the following themes are developed: (a) the social political issues, evidencing health; (b) the environmental problem; (c) a view on the biology development and its relation with health; and (d) the dynamics of organization and health service rendered to the population. The article finishes embracing some short and long term tendencies for the health social construction in the Brazilian society.Downloads
