Physical Education: a historical-cultural approach to education
Abstract
This article presents a broad conception of Physical Education, which has its roots in a cultural-historical perspective of man, world and society. It aims at reflecting the current reality, showing Physical Education/Sports as being a profession with a sociopolitical diversity which embodies the complexity and the cultural plurality of its time and the social organization which, although divided into social classes, determines the interest and the knowledge transmitted in their different social practices. These ideas alto comprise the worldview that the Núcleo de Estudos em Planejamento e Metodologia da Cultura Corporal da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia – Nepecc/UFU (Nucleus o Studies in Planning and Methodologies of Corporal Culture at Federal University of Uberlândia) presents to the community with the scientific-pedagogical project of social intervention in the context of university and specially of elementary public school learning.Downloads
