Abstract
The practice of regular physical activity (AF) can benefit physical and mental health, thus contributing to quality of life. The aim of this study was to analyze the possible effects of AF at the "Playground of Longevity" (PL) on mood states in older people. Sixty individuals (both genders; 64.79 ± 7.65 years) performed 28 one-hour training sessions at the PL. Before and after the first, fourteenth and twenty-eighth their mood states were assessed by means of the Mood States Illustrated List (short-form). In terms of acute effect (pre- post session), the AF at the PL changed the mood states in older people in a positive way and such acute effects, for some adjectives, tend to be reduced as a chronic effect.Downloads
