Abstract

The central theme of this produced by Geraldo Bastos Silva in 1965, was a subject of study at the third Personnel Training Course on Educational Planning. This course was offered by the Department of Improvement of the Teaching Staff of the national education history in Brazil, and relates the issue of “school efficient operation” to a multitude of socio-cultural factors. The answer, therefore, takes into consideration the cultural aspects of this institution within the context of economic underdevelopment of Brazil.
