Erasmo Pilotto’s ideas on professional training in regional teachers´ training courses

Abstract

The pedagogical conceptions of Parana’s intellectualandeducatorErasmoPilotto are analyzed. His ideas helped the development of the Regional Normal Courses (1949-1951)during the period he was Secretaryof Education.Through thesecourses, he underscored Art and Culturein teachers´ education according to two fronts:the training ofteachersinvolved in daily activitiesand the trainingof educationalleadersresponsible for the planningof activities of the former.Foregrounded on Bourdieu'scontributions on trajectory and field, the changesand continuitiesof Pilotto’s educational thought during hisshift betweenteachingand public administration are identified.
