Abstract

A collection organized by Gladys Mary Ghizoni Teive, the work in question seeks, through the trajectory of professor João dos Santos Areão, a “São Paulo pioneer of education”, to pay off the debt of education historians with regard to the phenomenon of Brazilian Historiography known as “Bandeirismo Paulista do Ensino”, between 1912 and 1950, in Santa Catarina.

Author Biographies

Cintia Medeiros Robles Aguiar, Municipal Secretary of Education of Campo Grande-MS / Teacher

Master in Education from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2020). Specialist in Afro-Brazilian History and Culture from Faculdade Batista de Minas Gerais (2019). Graduated in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2017). She is currently a teacher of Basic Education and a researcher at the Group of Studies and Research in Anthropology and Sociology of Education (Gepase / CNPq) (since 2014). He was a Scientific Initiation Scholarship PIBIC-AF / CNPq / UFMS in the biennia 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 and a social demand scholarship CAPES (2018-2020).

Jacira Helena do Valle Pereira Assis, Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, Campo Grande, MS, Brasil

She has a degree in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (1988), a master's degree in Education from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (1997) and a doctorate in Education from the University of São Paulo (2002). She is currently Full Professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and works in the permanent staff of the Postgraduate Program in Education - (Master's and Doctorate courses) and in Social Anthropology (Master's course). He has experience in the area of ​​Education, with an emphasis on Sociology and Anthropology of Education, acting mainly on the following themes: memory, biography and memorialists; frontier and cultural diversity, families, schools and secular state.
