“Language and culture are inextricably intertwined” (Brown, 1994:187). However, based on our experience of teaching a foreign language, we have observed that the cultural aspect is increasingly dissociated from the language, concerning its teaching/learning process. In other words, these aspects show a certain rupture of the “intrinsicality” of the language and the culture. The former, therefore, becomes only a universal instrument of communication, independent on its origin. The aim of this study is to investigate a possible 'rupture' of the language/culture link.
