Abstract

Poetry and music enchant and fascinate human being since the beginning of humankind. This article intends to “define”, differentiate and investigate - as far as Possible – the extent to which the apparently magic union of these two arts occurs, em hasizing the oetic art. The object of analysis is the oem “Ins iração”(1922), by Mário de Andrade. Besides being recognized as a central figure of the Brazilian literature, he was also a great student of music and a pianist. He elaborated a very pertinent theory/analogy between musical and poetic elements in relation to free verse. This theory/analogy illustrates well a fusion of these arts, each with its particular characteristics, but it leaves out some points that differentiate both of them.

Clarice Zamonaro Cortez, UEM

Possui graduação em Letras Inglês pela Universidade do Sagrado Coração (1976), mestrado em Comunicação e Poéticas Visuais pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1995) e doutorado em Letras pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1999), na Ãrea de concentração Teoria da Literatura e Literatura Comparada. Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Tem experiência na área dos estudos comparados, com ênfase em Pintura, atuando principalmente no tema: poesia portuguesa clássica, Camões e a pintura italiana. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisa sobre a formação da lírica trovadoresca e sua influência na poesia portuguesa, entre outros temas da Literatura Portuguesa Currículo Lattes
