Abstract

Current article verifies the possibilities of elaborating an epistemology of convergence as an analytical strategy of the socio-environmental subject. Hermeneutics are used to demonstrate that the dichotomy between reductionism/holism is an error, even though it is a main factor of the most modern epistemologies. Reductionism and holism are faces of an unique project writhin the epistemology of convergence.

Possui graduação em Historia Natural pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1969) , mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1980) , doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1989) e pos-doutorado pela Gesamthochschule Kassel (1993) . Atualmente é Pesquisador Sênior da Universidade Federal do Paraná. Tem experiência na área de Educação , com ênfase em Fundamentos da Educação.
