Models of teaching, level of satisfaction and motivational factors present in the physical education classes
Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the models of teaching, level of satisfaction of the students and the motivational factors present in the Physical Education classes. The sample was constituted by 11 teachers from 5th to 8th grades and 272 students in a range of 11-14 years old from State schools of the city of Chapecó - SC. To collect data it was used the “Guia de Observação Qualitativa para a Avaliação das Aulas de Educação Física” (Qualitative Observation Guide for the Evaluation of the Physical Education Classes), developed by López & González (2002a) and the “IADOV” questionnaire, modified by López (apud LÓPEZ & GONZÁLEZ, 2002b). For data analyses an evaluation of the “Guia de Observação Qualitativa” (Qualitative Observation Guide) and “Quadro Lógico de “IADOV” (IADOV’s Logic Table) was done. The results showed that Physical Education classes taught by the teachers have a tendency towards the Traditional teaching of sportive games; to the students the Physical Education Classes were satisfactory and their motivation comes from the sportive games.Downloads
