Corporeity in the elementary school
Abstract
The present study aims to investigate how the school has built a corporeity to submit the students to the exploration and domination of the present system. Another objective of the study is to find out corporeity expressed through the children’s games drawings. Observation was carried out in the school premises and inside the classroom during the term as well as two interviews were held with each first grader of the elementary school in a suburban public school. It was found that the school, trough implicit or explicit rules, builds a corporeity which is based on individualism, massification and a minority’s privileges. The games and drawings analyzed have revealed values opposite to those imposed by the school. Based on theses facts, anthropometric incipient plan of corporeal exercises was worked out having children’s games and drawing’s at its starting point for a transformational praxis.Downloads
