Abstract

The objective of this article was to present a general panorama of the area of Motor Behavior - its historical trajectory, trends and perspectives of research - with the intention to delineate an organized framework of its development both in the theoretical and methodological domain. It is expected that this framework would contribute to the construction of a knowledge base for those who want to specialize as a researcher in the area and to aply that knowledge in the professional intervention.

Aossui graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Educação Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1973), mestrado em Educação - Hiroshima University (1978) e doutorado em Educação - Hiroshima University (1982). Atualmente é professor titular e Diretor da Escola de Educação Física e Esporte - USP, foi Diretor do Centro de Práticas Esportivas - USP. Tem experiência na área de Educação Física, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: aprendizagem motora, processo adaptativo, controle motor, educação física escolar. Currículo Lattes
