Abstract

The emphasis of this text is on the quarrel about the people’s government through the examination of the teachers’ selection processes that served as normalization devices, built and utilized by representants of the public order that had as objective the delimitation of a truth regime. The material used in this search, only one teacher’s “test”, made possible to think disciplinary practices and brought up some questions about this theme. As a theoretic orientation, this search utilizes parts of Foucault’s thoughts. For that reason, this text analyses the way the power technologies acted around teachers, imposing actions in order to provide them with the instruments necessaries, concerning their behavior and procedures, in pedagogical school activities in search of the consolidation of a different social order.
