Strategies of approach, society of ideas and anarchistic education in São Paulo in the Early Republic (1889-1930)

Abstract

The article presents some reflections on the anarchistic education in São Paulo in the Early Republic, beginning for the fact of that the anarchistic groups had elaborated strategies of approach to attract other social actors for the causes that defended, through diverse initiatives, such as the diffusion of the ideas through the propaganda, book and newspaper publication and the creation of schools. The concept of society of ideas, created for Augustin Cochin and used by François Furet and Jean-Pierre Bastian, it is used as a clarifying factor of the anarchistic presence in São Paulo in Early Republic (1889-1930), with emphasis in the power of this new look at this subject, apart from the exile’s strategies.
