Abstract

The article presents the review of the Revista Brasileira de História da Educação (Brazilian Magazine of History Education) (RBHE), prepared by the Editorial Board, management 2005-2007, in which it is organized the information on the process of publication of the magazine. Initially, it is discussed the practice for the inventory, and in a second moment, it is analysed the identity of RBHE, built over the last seven years (2001-2007).We questioned the place of institutional production, attentive to the rules of operation the fi eld itself and what has been the object of by disclosure RBHE. Thus, we discuss the themes, spaces, periods and sources that were privileged by researchers of history education in the whole of the examined articles. Finally, we explore the theoretical and methodological references in the work and the relations established by the magazine with Latin America and the Iberian world in general. With this exercise, we consider various aspects related to the production of knowledge in history education and how they confi gure this fi eld in the country. So, it aims to give visibility to an editorial project that has being outlined by means of action developed between peers, committed to the historical refl ection and the effects of it in the improvement of the debate about education in our country.
