Abstract

At the end of the 20^th century, the world economy has been characterized by a persistent recessive tendency. One of the crucial consequences of the capitalistic economic crisis is the unemployment increase, an economic and social problem which has been affecting all countries. In this context, education, responsible for the individual’s training has become problematic at defining its nature and social function. The aim of this paper is to discuss some issues concerning the individual’s education in the current critical context of the capitalistic society.

Aparecida Marcianinha Pinto, UEM

Possui graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1989) , especialização em História dos Movimentos Sociais no Brasil pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Arapongas (1992) , mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1996) e doutorado em Ensino na Educação Brasileira pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001) . Atualmente é Adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Tem experiência na área de Educação. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Educação e trabalho, Ensino Médio, Ensino Profissionalizante, Globalização, Neo-liberalismo e Educação Infantil Currículo Lattes
