Abstract

This article was written focusing education history professors and students of pedagogy courses. Its purpose is to present a reflection on the teaching of education history by taking into account the author’s self-learning process in that knowledge area, and the way she put into action what she learned when teaching. She relates her own living experience with selected student’s ones. Through a private file report and a school dossier, she makes the student’s voice alive. The teacher’s action effects upon the student are apprehended by the analogy between education history and painting teachings. The history education goals, the student difficulties, the selection of basic contents and some learning situations are discussed with the objective of showing how multiple senses are built in the classroom through the pedagogic interaction.
