Urbanization and schooling in the studies on educational institutions
Abstract
The idea of understanding the processes of urbanization of
cities through the seizure of historical trajectories of schools
is becoming increasingly widespread in the Brazilian scientific
scenario. At the same time, there is the possibility of fertile
understanding of the life cycles of educational institutions
through studies on urbanization. This dialectic of themes has
provided researchers of History of Education study opportunities
on the processes of urbanization and education as two themes
that complement each other. Thus, this article provides a relevant
inquiry on the issues, intending to point to new possibilities for
research dealing with the History of Educational Institutions.
