After a 16-year hiatus, the Journal of Legal Sciences of the State University of Maringá (RCJ UEM) resumes its publications in 2025, featuring original articles and reviews with a quadrennial periodicity. The last edition of the journal was published in June 2009, temporarily interrupting its academic trajectory.

The resumption of publications was made possible by Teaching Project No. 1666/2024 SGP - Journal of Legal Sciences: Records and Memories, which in 2024 digitized all editions of RCJ UEM since its first publication in 1997. This process ensured the recovery and preservation of the journal’s academic memory, making its content accessible to the academic community and legal professionals.

RCJ UEM reaffirms its mission to disseminate legal studies and foster relevant discussions in the field of Law and society. Over the years, it has established itself as a reference publication, widely consulted by academics, jurists, and students. In 2003, it had already undergone a revival after a two-year hiatus since its last edition in 2000. In 2006, the journal implemented a new layout for its publications, modernizing its presentation and visual identity.

Now, with the new original editions, RCJ UEM reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of legal knowledge and the enhancement of academic research, strengthening its role in the national legal scene.
