Abstract

In this study, we aim to analyze the incursion of a reader (1958- 1966) that begins to exchange letters with a magazine called O Pequeno Luterano, a practice encouraged by the editors. The referred prints were issued by the Missouri Synod Institution and were addressed to Lutheran children at school. The narrative is comprehended through the memory built from the epistolary and influenced by the magazine contents and the narrator’s reports. From these considerations, it is possible to infer the importance of the magazine, which used strategies to form a network of readers and writers among children, stimulating reading practices that combined education and religion.
