Open Science and Digital Preservation
The Acta Scientiarum. Education Journal, ISSN 2178-5201 (online), created in 2010, is an electronic scientific publication edited by the State University of Maringá Press (EDUEM) with open access and publication of articles in a continuous flow, with doubly anonymized evaluation.
Free reading and downloading are permitted, as well as copying and dissemination of its content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) Copyright policies. The Journal's content is preserved in the Cariniana Network (Ibict) and can be verified at Keepers Registry. For its promotion, it also relies on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram.
Starting with the first batch of articles in 2025, the editor responsible for monitoring and evaluating the submission is made known in each article. At the end of each year, the list of reviewers who evaluated manuscripts during the period, regardless of whether the texts were approved or not, is published on the Journal's website, ensuring the confidentiality of the evaluated article. At the end of each article, the CRedit Taxonomy of its authors is included, and the ORCID of each of the authors is available to the public.
ALIGNMENT WITH OPEN SCIENCE
According to the provisions and recognition of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), there is a need to scientifically address complex and interdependent social, environmental, and economic challenges faced by populations. In addition, UNESCO highlights the need to recognize the fundamental importance of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI).
The Acta Scientiarum. Education Journal recognizes the diversity of Open Science (OS). The cooperation networks, both geographical and thematic, aim to encourage the equitable development of capacities and infrastructures for OSC. These networks facilitate the sharing of experiences, good practices, and resources, favoring the progress of research and open access to scientific knowledge. This recognition is manifested in the way in which Acta Scientiarum. Education contemplates the various dimensions of OS.
The journal offers open access and continuous publication of articles. Free reading and downloading are permitted, as well as copying and dissemination of its content following the Copyright Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) policies. Furthermore, authors retain the copyright of the articles without restrictions.
In fact, the evaluative dimension of CA is also contemplated by the editorial policies of Acta Scientiarum. Education. The Journal recognizes the importance of articles being made available in the form of preprints, accepting the submission of preprint manuscripts deposited on the server SciELO Preprints.
The evaluative dimension of OS is also contemplated by the editorial policies of Acta Scientiarum. Education. Starting with the first batch of articles of 2025, published in December 2024, each article's author is informed of the editor responsible for monitoring and evaluating the submission. At the end of each year, the list of reviewers who evaluated manuscripts during the period, regardless of whether the texts were approved or not, is published on the Journal's website, ensuring the confidentiality of the evaluated article. Each article includes the CRedit Taxonomy of its authors and the ORCID of each of the authors.
The Acta Scientiarum. Education Journal considers and encourages the practices of the OS movement, intending to improve the transparency and reproducibility of research, transparently sharing research information, and facilitating collaboration among members of the scientific community.
The editorial team of the Journal Acta Scientiarum. Education:
