Scholastic manuscripts of the physician of Peter of Spain (13th century)
Abstract
This paper seeks to discuss the education of the physicians from the Medicine Schools of the urban Studia Generalia in 13th century. The Education methodology was the same at the four fields of knowledge, Arts, Teology, Roman and Canon Law and Medecine. This metodology includes lecture by the scholars and scholastics commentaires and questions by the masters. In three European National Libraries, there are the manuscripts sources and print editions written by the Portuguese physician Petrus Hispanus (?1220-1277), when he had taught at Siena (1246-1252). The three libraries are: France, Spain and Vatican.
