Conflict of Interest
To avoid conflicts of interest and to ensure impartiality in the evaluation process, the identity of the reviewers and authors will be kept confidential throughout the process (cf. Flowchart). The editor-in-chief is prohibited from acting as a consultant on manuscripts submitted for evaluation. Only manuscripts submitted to the system by the authors themselves will be evaluated, regardless of the authors' country and institution of origin.
To ensure that articles are evaluated by reviewers with proven scientific production in the research area, the Journal maintains a database of registered reviewers based on information available on the Lattes Platform. To select the reviewer, keywords are indicated that refer to the area of interest of the reviewer, according to the content of the manuscript to be evaluated. The fact of being part of the reviewing body and the editorial team does not offer any guarantee of having an article published.
The Journal is not limited to publishing works linked to a specific theoretical-methodological foundation and does not prioritize the publication of works produced in specific countries, research centers, or institutions.
The Journal does not charge any submission, publication, or access fees. The resources for the publication of the journal come from the State University of Maringá. Another source is the funding agencies that open calls to which the Journal submits its proposals, seeking to raise funds.
Therefore, these actions guarantee the impartiality of a personal, commercial, political, academic, and financial nature and, consequently, editorial ethics.
