Ethical Guidelines - Reviewers

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts will be evaluated by consultants in the field of research knowledge, from national and foreign educational and/or research institutions with proven scientific production. They will be accepted if they receive two favorable opinions and rejected if two opinions are unfavorable. In the case of one favorable and one unfavorable opinion, the decision on publication will be made by the editorial board.

Guidelines for Reviewers

  1. Is the subject covered in the article relevant enough to be published by the magazine?*
  2. Is the article original?*
  3. Does the title clearly and sufficiently reflect the content of the article?*
  4. Are the presentation, organization, and size of the article satisfactory?*
  5. Does the introduction review the topic covered and make the purpose of the work clear?*
  6. Is the discussion relevant and sufficient?*
  7. Do the data justify the interpretations?*
  8. Is there a need to add any item that could enrich the article?*
  9. Is it necessary to reduce or remove any part of the article?*
  10. Are the illustrations and tables necessary and relevant?*
  11. Are the figures illustrative and of good quality for printing?*
  12. Are the keywords suitable for the article?*
  13. Does the summary provide good information about the work?*
  14. Are the references appropriate and necessary?*
  15. Are the references written in accordance with the journal's standards?*
  16. Are the authors referenced in the text cited in the references?*
  17. Were any notes made in the manuscript?*
  18. Does the research involve interviews or case studies? Check whether the authors have provided the protocol number of the Ethics Committee approval (Plataforma Brasil).*

Opinion regarding the publication of the article:

1) Unfavorable (reject).

2) Favorable, as long as the indicated reformulations (mandatory corrections) are made. Suggestions may be indicated below.

3) Favorable (The work is accepted for publication).
