<b>The use of documentaries as previous organizers in the teaching of non-Euclidean geometry in the classroom
Abstract
Based on classroom experiences with non-Euclidean Geometry, a relevant potential element for documentaries has been detected to discuss and reflect on the theme. Documentary films are resources to enhance people´s critical thinking and civic attitude and to promote discussions and reflections between teachers and students for possible school changes. Current paper presents documentaries and their features as advance organizers in the teaching of non-Euclidean Geometry to subsidize teachers of Mathematics that intend to teach this field of Geometry in their classes.
